A clear brief makes a custom sock order easier to quote and approve. Before choosing a design, decide who will wear the socks, how they will be distributed and when they must arrive. This custom sock order checklist helps you collect the information your supplier needs without committing to a specification too early.

Define the audience and purpose

An employee welcome pack, a sports club collection and a trade show giveaway each need a different brief. Consider the audience’s likely sizes, preferred sock length and how the gift will be used. For a versatile everyday style, explore custom crew socks. For a shorter profile, compare custom ankle socks.

Confirm quantity and size allocation

SocksPrime custom projects start from 100 pairs. Record your total quantity and ask how it can be divided across sizes. Avoid assuming a single size will suit everyone. If the audience is not yet known, request guidance before approving the size breakdown. Keep any spare pairs in the same order plan so the quote reflects the total requirement.

Prepare your logo and colour references

Send a clear logo file and your brand guidelines if available. Include Pantone references where you have them, alongside a description of which colour belongs on the body, cuff, heel and toe. Digital screens can display colours differently, so a screen image alone should not be treated as final colour approval. Ask which details can be reproduced in the selected knit and what approval process is available.

Decide what belongs on the sock

Separate essential elements from optional ones. A logo, a short message and a repeat pattern may need different placements. Small lettering and complex artwork deserve particular attention during the mockup review. Our sock design guide explains how to organise an artwork brief.

Include packaging and the delivery destination

Packaging is part of the order, not an afterthought. Specify a wrap band, hang tag, individual bag or gift box and describe any printed information required. Share the delivery country, postcode and event date. For Europe and USA enquiries, ask for production, transit and any destination requirements to be explained separately.

Review the quote before approving production

Check the model, quantity, sizes, material specification, artwork, packaging, delivery arrangements and total quoted price together. Request clarification if a detail is missing. Pricing and timing depend on the agreed project; do not use a general estimate as a confirmed production schedule.
